What Type of Person Are We Looking for?

The ideal homecare aide will be patient, compassionate, and understanding. Although being a homecare aide can be extremely rewarding work, it isn’t always easy. Working with special needs patients and elderly individuals can be trying, but a little understanding often goes a long way.

The right person for us is also a hard worker, willing to go the extra mile for our clients when needed. In many cases, a homecare aide will come to be looked at as a sort of added member of the extended family, lending a helping hand when needed.

What to Expect Each Day?

On any given day, our homecare aides are expected to perform a wide variety of non-medical care services and duties, including:

  • Tidying Up & Light Chores
  • Washing Clothes & Linens
  • Providing Companionship
  • Running Errands & Grocery Shopping
  • Transportation to & from Appointments
  • Meal Preparation & Cooking

What Are the Training/Prerequisite Requirements?

To obtain a position as one of R.G.U.S., Inc.’s homecare aides, you’ll have to pass a pre-service training course and background check. You’ll also need to have:

  • A kind and caring nature
  • A flexible schedule (up to 40 hours-per-week)
  • A valid driver’s license
  • A high school diploma, GED and a year of similar experience or related reference letter stating you have such experience.

What Are the Benefits of Being a Homecare Aide?

Some of the benefits of working with our team include flexible scheduling and competitive pay.
